Simi Murder Suspect Enters Pleas

Updated--The Simi Valley man charged with murdering his girlfriend in front of her children has pleaded not guilty and has denied several special allegations.
It is alleged that 34-year-old Ramon Rivas stabbed 34-year-old Jessica Tinoco multiple times in her face, chest, and abdomen on September 27th in their residence in the 800 block of California Avenue.
The brutal attack happened in front of her children and because of that Rivas is also facing a child endangerment charge.
Wednesday he pleaded not guilty to murder and two counts of child endangerment
Rivas is an ex-con with an extensive record and was on probation as Post Release Offender.
He also denied eight special allegations including use of a deadly weapon and that he has prior felony convictions.
Meanwhile, Rivas remains in the Ventura County Jail and is being held without bail.
