Santa Ana Winds Come And Go Bringing Nothing But A Warm Wednesday

Tuesday December 17, 2024

The Santa Ana winds that blew into town Tuesday and Wednesday caused no problems in Ventura County and actually left us with weather two days before the start of winter that felt more like summer.

There were some moderate to strong winds mainly in the mountains and canyons that surround several of the valleys in the county while other parts of the county had little or no wind.

What the county did enjoy were crystal clear skies and high temperatures in the '80s everywhere.

Camarillo and Ojai were the hot spots both with high temperatures at 86 degrees.

Then Fillmore, Oxnard, and Ventura tied for second place at 85.

     Thousand Oaks reached 81.

     Simi Valley hit 80.

Wednesday's weather should carry into Thursday with some lingering wind and slightly cooler temperatures.

Friday through the weekend we should start to see a mix of clouds and clear skies and much cooler temperatures.

Finally, Monday and Christmas Eve on Tuesday will bring increasing clouds and even a chance of rain on Christmas Eve.
