Pair Arrested In What Ventura County Authorities Say Was A Sophisticated Vehicle Theft Operation

     The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office says they along with authorities in Los Angeles County have made arrests in connection with what they described as a sophisticated auto theft ring.

     They say the suspects are responsible for the theft of a number of high-end vehicles in both Ventura and Los Angeles counties.

     The suspects, both from Compton, are a 23-year-old man and a 16-year-old male juvenile.

     Search warrants served at their residences turned up evidence tying them to the thefts.

     Several stolen vehicles have also been recovered.

     The male juvenile is also suspected as being a part of a commercial burglary crew that worked both counties.

     More arrests are expected.
