Oxnard Police Say Alcohol Suspected In Fatal Crash Wednesday

     The Oxnard Police Department says that alcohol is suspected as being involved in a fatal crash Wednesday afternoon.

    The crash happened shortly after 4:30 PM on North Ventura Road south of Gonzales Road.

    Police say that a 2007 Honda RS motorcycle riden by a 41-year-old Oxnard man was southbound on Ventura Road when it collided with a 2015 Toyota Prius driven by a 27-year-old Oxnard woman who was completing a left turn from northbound Ventura Road onto Anna Way.

    The motorcyclist was rushed to VCMC where he died.

    The driver of the Toyota suffered minor injuries and stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigating officers.

     Police gave no other information about why they suspect alcohol was involved.
