Oxnard Man Gets Life In Prison For Sexually Assaulting Two Children

     An Oxnard man was sentenced Monday to 80-years-to-life in prison for sexually assaulting two girls.

     A Ventura County jury had earlier convicted 47-year-old Anibal Paz Perez of committing an unlawful act with a child under 10-years-old, two counts of lewd acts upon a child, and aggravated sexual assault, rape, of a child.

     They also found true 12 special allegations including substantial sexual conduct, multiple victims, victims under 14 years old, the victims were vulnerable, and he took advantage of a position of trust.

     Prosecutors say that the first victim was a 9-year-old girl that Perez molested at a community pool in Oxnard in 2018.

     The second victim was a 13-year-old girl that Perez sexually assaulted when he was living in his home in Oxnard in 2022.
