Oxnard Man Facing Almost 500 Years In Prison For Child Sexual Abuse

     An Oxnard man with a history of child sexual abuse is facing almost 500 years in state prison after doing it again.

     A jury Wednesday convicted 68-year-old Marcelino Anas Arca of Oxnard on six felony counts of Lewd Act Upon A Child.

     They also found true the special allegation that there were multiple victims and he admitted having a prior 1988 conviction for child molestation.

     Prosecutors say that the new crimes happened between 2005 and 2014.

     Arca molested two victims who were under the age of 14.

     The abuse happened at multiple locations over a number of years before the victims told a trusted family member years later.

     He gained access to the victims through a familial relationship.

     Arca remains in jail and is being held with no chance of release.

     When he is sentenced on April 7th he faces 480-years-to-life in prison.
