      Port Hueneme police say one person died following a solo vehicle crash late Tuesday morning.

     Shortly after 10:30 officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the 800 block of North Ventura Road in Port Hueneme.

     They found a 56-year-old man from Hanford, California who was unresponsive.

     The driver, who was the only occupant of the vehicle, was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

     Traffic investigators are still trying to determine what caused the crash including a possibility that he suffered a medical emergency that led to the crash and also to his death.

     Ventura County took part in a major crackdown on human trafficking last week.

     Local law enforcement and code enforcement officers investigated more than two dozen massage parlors and other businesses in Ventura County suspected in taking part in sex trafficking.

     Five of the businesses were immediately shut down while the others remain under investigation.

     Dozens of the victims who were forced to work in those businesses were helped by the authorities in finding organizations and other resources aimed at rescuing them.
