Governor Elevates Ventura County Court Commissioner To Judgeship

     Governor Newsom has elevated a Ventura County Superior Commissioner to Ventura County Superior Court Judge.

     Amy Van Sickle of Ventura has been a court commissioner since 2023.

     She was in private practice from 2003 to 2023.

     Van Sickle received her law degree from the Ventura College of Law.

     She fills the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Patricia Murphy.

     Van Sickle is a Republican.

     The compensation for a Superior Court Judgeship is $244,727.
