The unemployment rate for Ventura County in August stood at 3.9 percent, the same as July but almost a point below August of last year.
It was the same as the national average and below the statewide average.
Month-to-month, the county gained 3400 non-farm jobs and lost 1600 farm jobs.
Year-to-year, the county gained 5,100 non-farm jobs and farm jobs increased by 300.
Almost all the sectors showed job gains or no change both month-to-month and year-to-year.
Construction was up 400 jobs from July to August and 1700 jobs over the past 12 months.
Manufacturing was up 200 jobs month-to-month and 500 jobs compared to August of last year.
The only down sectors were Trade, Transportation and Utilities, Information and Other Services.
