Simi police are seeking public help in locating a transient they say has been involved in several incidents involving stolen vehicles.
The latest incident was Sunday afternoon in Simi Valley when the suspect, 40-year-old Lawrence Huhne, is alleged to have intentionally used a stolen vehicle to crash into a parked vehicle just as the victim, a man he knows, was getting out.
The victim was pinned in the doorway of the parked vehicle but suffered only minor injuries.
Meanwhile, police say that Huhne has been involved in several vehicle pursuits with both Simi PD and sheriff's deputies over the past several months where he has been driving other stolen vehicles.
Huhne is facing several felony warrants, now including assault with a deadly weapon following Sunday's incident.
Police say Huhne was last seen driving a 2009 silver or grey Toyota Camry with 4-doors and a license plate of 6FGA899.
The vehicle will have front-end damage.
Huhne is a transient and known to frequent areas all over Ventura County.
Another who knows where Huhne is or sees him is encouraged to called SVPD at (805) 583-6950.
