Sexual Battery Arrest At Ventura Massage Business

     Updated--Ventura police say they've arrested a man accused of committing sexual battery on a customer of a massage business.

    They say that on June 8th the victim contacted police and reported that towards the end of her 90 minute massage at Massage Envy at 103 S. Mills Road she was sexually assaulted.

    Major Crimes detectives began an investigation that they say they identified a suspect and confirmed the woman's allegations.

    On June 11th, they arrested 29-year-old Anthony Wearing of Oxnard in the parking lot outside the 24 Hour Fitness on Telegraph Road.

    Wearing was booked into the Ventura County Jail on two felonies, sexual battery and digital penetration.

   Meanwhile, Ventura police say that Massage Envy cooperated with their investigation.

   They say Wearing had been working for them for less than two weeks.'

   He was a licensed massage therapist for two years and had worked at another Massage Envy in Hermosa Beach.

   He also worked in Sacramento.

   On Thursday, Wearing pleaded not guilty to the charges.

   He remained in jail with bail still set at $100,000 and is due back in court June 24th.
