A transient accused of being a serial armed robber denied those allegations in a Ventura courtroom Tuesday.
33-year-old Andre Lamont Ingram entered not guilty pleas to four counts of second degree robbery.
Ventura County authorities say that Ingram is considered the suspect in armed robberies in Ventura, Oxnard, and Camarillo, and another at a Mobil station on North Ventu Park Road in Newbury Park on August 3, 2018.
The authorities say that investigations into the robberies indicated that the method and manner of the robberies matched in all four cases and further investigation identified Ingram as the suspect.
But Ingram had left California and was ultimately arrested in North Carolina in an unrelated case.
When Ventura County detectives learned of that, they were able to have Ingram extradited back to Ventura County.
He now remains in the Ventura County Jail with bail set at $255,000.
Ingram is due back in court next week.
