Santa Paula Police Will Have Increased Patrols On The First Day Of School

Tuesday August 13, 2019

Santa Paula police say they investigated a post on social media regarding what "could be perceived as a threat to one of our schools within the city."

The Santa Paula Police Department issued a news release Tuesday night saying they had investigated the post and determined that "there is no credible threat at this time."

Still, they plan to have increased patrols Wednesday at local schools and School Resource Officers will be on site for what is the first day of school.

Police say for them and school officials, safety for students and staff is the top priority and they encourage everyone to be aware of their surroundings and report any suspicous activity, including social media posts.
