Update-SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Air Force Base in northwestern Santa Barbara County right on time Wednesday morning.

The launch at 7:17 AM was shrouded in fog but you could see the glow from the rocket engines as they ignited on the Falcon 9.

The rocket was visible from the air as it rose through and above the marine layer and headed into space.

The payload is three RADARSAT earth imaging satellites for Canada.

In addition to the launch, the first stage of the Falcon 9 rocket has returned to Vandenberg.
