Tuesday October 9, 2018

Deputies in Fillmore are seeking public help in identifying a woman wanted for forgery and identity theft.

They've released bank security photos of the woman who detectives say used the personal information of the victim to fill out withdrawal slips at banks in Thousand Oaks, Northridge, and Van Van Nuys in order to withdraw $4,000 of the victim's money.

They say the suspect obtained the victim's checking account number and other personal information in order to steal the money on August 24th and September 1st of this year.

The suspect is described as being a heavy-set black female in her mid 40's who is about 5'5" tall and 215 pounds.

She apparently wore different wigs to each bank.

Anyone with information that might help the investigation is asked to call Detective Bill Meixner at (805) 524-2235 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
