A big rig fire shut down Highway 126 in Ventura County Friday night.

It was reported around 9:30 PM on the 126 a couple of miles west of the Ventura-LA County line.

When firefighters arrived on scene they found the cab of the truck and trailer fully engulfed in flames.

The fire blocked the entire roadway but once it was put out they allowed traffic through one direction at a time.

It was completely reopened by Saturday morning.

The CHP says the big rig had been stopped by the side of the road as the fire broke out.

No reports of any injuries or the cause of the fire.
